    Pick up a note pad, pen or pencil. Sit in a quiet room and jot down all valid reasons that you should and could stop smoking. There are probably more than a dozen sound reasons, (one of them being the cost), but 12 steps should be more than enough to convince you to stop.

    Think of valid reasons to quit smoking. One of the first reasons should should relate to health. Do not rationalize and tell yourself that emphysema or lung cancer can never happen to you. Lung cancer can happen to people 20 years after they stop smoking, and it can happen earlier to those who never stop.

    Make up your mind that you can and will stop smoking. Think of things to do each time you have the urge to smoke. Buy hard candies and put one in your mouth instead of a cigarette. Buy lollipops for the same purpose. You might gain weight during the process, but you can work on losing it once you stop smoking. Drink plenty of water; add a slice of lemon or orange if you do not like plain water.

    Find a self-help group for those who are "kicking the habit." If there are none in your vicinity, start one. Run it similarly to Alcoholics Anonymous, advertising by word of mouth and posting fliers inside stores and schools. Start a buddy system for members to to assist each other when the need for a smoke becomes overpowering.

    Keep reading the 12 steps you wrote down. Add more steps if needed. Be determined, and you will be able to stop. The first day is the worse, with each day getting easier. At the end of the week, you will find that food tastes better, your breath smells sweeter, you have more energy and you feel better. Don't waver; remember, you do have control of yourself and your actions. Once you make up your mind to stop smoking, just do it.

    I think it's a great idea to quit a smoking.i am sure everyday many peoples told you about smoking.but you will quit it when you want.so it's a great way to quit smoking,just sit in a room and think the major reason why you want to quit.in this post you share a great tips about quit smoking.

    Good ideas. I think the first thing is to have confidence to quit it. You must make sure you can do it in your mind. Then everything is not as difficult as before.

    electronic cigarette could be our first move to quit smoking, but if we can manage to avoid even e cig, the better, somehow e cigarettes are still addictive.

    Great tips to quit smoking and like to add some more tips to quit smoking.
    Save money you would spend on cigarettes and plan for a treat tomorrow,
    Do start some sport, exercise or some physical activity,
    Avoid going to places where you might found smokers,
    Ask your friends and family to support you in quitting smoking decision.

    Quitting cigarette smoking is a very difficult. The easiest way to quit smoking is to limit your time spent with people who smoke. It will be very hard for you to resist when they offer you one, specially when you are in the first week of your withdrawal from smoking. Avoid activities which you have the most number of cigarettes in a day, instead replace those activities with exercise and time to bond with family. Eating healthy diet and taking complete rest everyday will help you keep away from smoking.

    Its like you should have that control or willingness to quit cigarette. Do not have same intention like others are having like say" I am tense need to smoke, just remove such kind of intention which makes you urge to smoke.     For some smokers, ending a meal means lighting up, and the prospect of giving that up may appear daunting. TIP: replace that moment after a meal with something such as a piece of fruit, a (healthy) dessert, a square of chocolate, or a stick of gum.

    these steps are useful. at first the smoker must set up his mind to stop smoking.
