    Default Vegan for Weight Loss

You probably will see weight loss if you choose a vegan diet. Limiting your food sources like vegans do will many times means a cut in calories, as beginning vegans don't always know good, nutritious food to eat. Many vegans, even years into practicing veganism, are very unhealthy, as they aren't getting the full range of nutrients that they need.

That being said, done properly the vegan diet can be pretty healthy. You just need to make sure you are getting plenty of fruits, veggies, whole grains, and protein in your diet. Try reading up about veganism online or pick up some books before beginning the diet so you'll know how to fuel your body properly while being a vegan.

Freedman and Barnouin are focused on changing the way people eat, with the aim of making the vegan diet the new typical American way of eating. By eating a diet free of animal products and additives, they say, you will take better care of yourself, and end up healthier and thinner.

Dieters are advised to wait to eat until they're nearly ravenous, to get used to the feeling of an empty stomach. They're also told to understand that "headaches, nausea, and hunger are a result of your body's cleaning itself."

If you follow this strict vegan diet, you will probably lose weight because it is very low in calories. But the "Skinny" plan will be hard for many people to follow, experts say, and there's a chance you could develop nutritional deficiencies.

Vegan as a weight loss method is most certainly a fad. It can be very difficult to ensure you're getting all the nutrients your body needs while on a vegan diet, and personally I only think it should be followed for moral reasons, not weight loss.

You can loose some weight on a vegan diet or you can gain weight. The key is to really take the time to study how to live on a vegan diet. And then choose the right combination of healthy foods.

I tried going vegan for about 9 months in my late 30's...I ended up looking like an 80 yr old woman...my skin was loose and crinkly. I guess my body or blood, whichever, needs meat. I have since learned to eat as little processed foods as possible and I still cut back on just how much meat I eat and add a lot more vegetables...I also try to aim for at least 70-75% raw. I feel more balanced, and have more energy...when I stick to it!

If you want to loose weight you can take the help of vegan diet. There is no counting calorie intake to concern yourself with using this vegan diet regimen. You are able to eat each of the organic fruits, veggies, cereals, and natural food you desire but just forget about meat, fish, dairy, eggs, sugar, artificial sweeteners, refined flour, caffeine, diet sodas, and whatever contains chemicals that you just can't pronounce.

Well, I see it difficult, since the vegan diet is very rich in carbohydrates and low in proteyns. Also, if you are not careful, you can end eating a lot of fat from different vegan sources, but fat at all.

If you are not trying it for moral reasons, I will always suggest a hiperproteic diet, it works better in my opinion.

PD: I was vegan now I'm following a low fat moderate carbo diet and I've almost lost all my body fat.

Another option you may wish to talk to your doctor about is fat burners. Most often, fat burners take the form of pills (though other options are available) that have many different ways to help you lose weight.

Many low-calorie foods fit within the vegan diet. Fruits, vegetables and whole grains are all low energy-density options that are vegan-friendly. However, a vegan diet is not carte blanche to eat as you please and expect a healthy outcome.

Eating vegan, especially raw vegan is an excellent way to loose weight. I lost about 30lbs in two months when I went on a raw vegan diet, and even then I allowed myself one day each week to eat what I craved. You will not turn into a stick by switching to a vegan diet, rather, your body will move toward it's natural optimum.

Vegan diet means avoiding foods that come from animals. People who are strictly vegan eliminate more than just red meat and chicken. Fish is out, too, and so are milk, cheese, and even eggs.
