    Default Healthy Eating

Eating well plays an important part in maintaining good health. Below are eight practical tips that cover the basics of healthy eating and can help you make healthier choices:

Base your meals on starchy foods as these give you energy.

Eat lots of fruit and vegetables every day. Eat at least five portions of a variety of fruit and veg a day. See 5 a day: what counts? for more information.

Eat more fish. Eat at least two portions of fish every week, including one portion of oily fish like mackerel or sardines. If you’re vegetarian and don’t eat fish, see five essential nutrients for vegetarians for more information on a healthy vegetarian diet.

Cut down on saturated fat and sugar. See healthy food swaps for healthier choices.

Eat less salt – no more than 6g a day for adults. For tips on how to do this, see say no to salt.

Get active and be a healthy weight. Use the healthy weight calculator to check if your weight is healthy.

Drink plenty of water, about 6-8 glasses of water (or other fluids) every day. To find out why this is important, see water and drinks.

Don’t skip breakfast. Always eat breakfast because it gives you the energy you need for the day. See five healthy breakfasts for ideas.

[Carbohydrates are converted to sugar and if you do not use all of than it is stored as fat. Animals in studies put on a nutritional diet and decrease the carbohydrates live twice as long]

[Fruit are filled with sugar and will be stored as fat they do have some antioxidant capability]

[Saturated fat is not bad transfat is saturated fat is cholesterol and your body needs it your brain is 75% cholesterol, every cell needs it and your body makes 10% of your needs if you reduce cholesterol you can’t replenish brain cells like Alzheimer’s]

[Salt is needed to make stomach acid and if the stomach acid is not strong enough you get reflux. The Japanese who have less cancer and heart problems eat 28g of salt and live longer than us]

Look at all the information couch potatoes live longer than athletes
athletes sweat more in one day than a couch potato sweats in a year and all the minerals he sweats out is not replaced in his gateraid

Well-......healthy eating will keep you physically fit, mentally sharp and energetic. Knowledge on food composition, their benefits, quantity of eating etc. are very important to plan you day. Control your temptation and avoid the risks of eating badly. Consult your nutritionist and ask for a daily chart on what to eat and how much.

Eating healthy requires getting 60 essential minerals, 16 vitamins, 12 amino acids and 2 fatty acids all of this is nearly impossible to get from your food . The soils which the food is grown on is mineral deficient only a few places on earth have all 60 minerals. To get all you need you need to supplement.
