    Smile what are the causes of arthritis

    Arthritis is the abnormal health condition that affects the bone joints of the individual. It is caused when the synovial fluid in the joints that allows the smooth friction is reduced. Due to this the friction in the joints increases which results in the pain and sometimes even degradation of the joints.

    The causes of Arthritis are as follows:

    1. Deficiency of the Vitamin D is the cause of the arthritis. This vitamin is required for the production of the synovial fluid. If the synovial fluid is less then friction in the bone joints increases that leads to the arthritis.

    2. Physical injury to the joints is one of the most commonly observed causes of arthritis. This type of the arthritis is called as degenerative arthritis. Childhood injuries on the joints can also result in the occurrence of the arthritis.

    Default what are the causes of arthritis

    Some of the factors that can cause arthritis include:

    * Genetics
    Exactly how much heredity or genetics contributes to the cause of arthritis is not well understood. However, there are likely genetic variations that can contribute to the cause of arthritis.
    * Age
    Cartilage becomes more brittle with age and has less of a capacity to repair itself. As people grow older they are more likely to develop arthritis.

    * Weight
    Because joint damage is partly dependent on the load the joint has to support, excess body weight can lead to arthritis. This is especially true of the hips and knees that can be worn quickly in heavier patients.

    * Previous Injury
    Joint damage can cause irregularities in the normal smooth joint surface. Previous major injuries can be part of the cause of arthritis. An example of an injury leading to arthritis is a tibial plateau fracture, where the broken area of bone enters the cartilage of the knee joint.

    * Some High-Level Sports
    It is difficult to determine how much sports participation contributes to development of arthritis. Certainly, sports participation can lead to joint injury and subsequent arthritis. However, the benefits of activity likely outweigh any risk of arthritis.

    * Illness or Infection
    People who experience a joint infection (septic joint), multiple episodes of gout, or other medical conditions, can develop arthritis of the joint.

    Have you got sore joints? Do you suffer aches and pains even arthritis? Perhaps your overdoing it at work or even at sport and feeling a little tired and achy. Then you need Optimal Essentials Ultra Bone and Joint.

    Thank you for all the information. My dad has his arthritis and he is still suffering from it sometimes. When he eat too much chicken and meat, arthritis will eventually appear. I observed how difficult it was for him. Do you have any other information on how to prevent that one? thanks

    Primarily as you can see in all post, the cause is due to cartilage damage. With the cartilage damage the bones at the joints will rub together in friction and cause the pain and swelling. You can relieve the pain with pain killers but it will only provide temporary relief. The solution is to repair the cartilages (if still not too late). Some supplements are known to repair the cartilage, but no matter how much of this supplement is taken it will not be utilize by the cartilage. The inflammation has to be remove first before the cartilage can absorb the supplements and gets repaired.

    I often wonder if I'm going to have super terrible arthritis the older I become. As a child I was very active and very clumsy. I sustained several injuries to my joints. especially my knees and ankles. it's cause for concern.

    Ayurveda and Arthritis.

    Arthritis is a medical condition in which an individual suffers from joints pain and stiffness in his body. Arthritis mostly occurs in aged people and can strike members of both the sex.
    Arthritis is the result of compression of the nerve roots at the cervical region as a result of spondylotic changes and muscular spasm. There are different forms of arthritis, of which the most common one is osteoarthritis (also known as degenerative joint disease).
    According to Ayurveda, arthritis is caused due to the accumulation of ama (toxins) in the human body resulting in the aggravation of vata (air) dosha. This ama circulates in the whole body and deposits or gets collected at the sites which are weaker. When it deposits in the joints and at the same time there is aggravation of vata, it results in a disease called Arthritis. Weak digestion, constipation, overeating and very little physical activity are the symptoms that can develop in a patient of arthritis.
    Symptoms of Arthritis

    * Pain and stiffness in the joints
    * Pain or numbness in the neck, shoulder, elbow, fore arms and hands
    * Inflammation of muscles, ligaments and cartilage
    * Difficulty in turning the head,
    * Headache at the back of the head
    * Loss of memory
    * Fatigue or lack of energy
    * Weight loss
    * Constipation
    * Insomnia,
    * Giddiness
    * Blotchy rash on the arms and legs
    * Extreme pain especially in cold, windy and damp weather etc

    Causes of Arthritis

    * Vitiation of vata dosha due to accumulation of toxins
    * Obesity
    * Ageing
    * Hereditary factors
    * Physical injuries
    * Standing for long periods without much movement
    * Over exertion
    * Lifting heavy weight

    Ayurvedic Treatments for Arthritis
    Ayurveda treatments of arthritis will consist of eliminating the accumulated toxins from the human system and reduction of vata. Panchakarma treatments will be prescribed for treating arthritis as panchakarma treatments are an elimination therapy to purify the human system off all toxins. After the panchakarma treatments, the patient will be given rasayana treatments and other oral medicines for curing arthritis. Along with that, efforts are undertaken to reduce the pain as well as the inflammation of joints.
    Ayurvedic Remedies for Arthritis

    * Avoid eating hot, spicy and fried foods, sweets
    * Avoid taking too much tea, coffee, yogurt, chocolate and cocoa.

    Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic systemic autoimmune disease which is characterized by non-pyogenic inflammation of most joints, especially the small joints. The chief clinical symptoms are pain and dysfunction of the joints on the early stage, deformity and stiffness of the joints resulting in loss of function on the advanced stage. In TCM, it is included in acute arthritis 、"rheumatism involving the bone" and so on. It is caused by stagnation of the meridian and collateral, blood and qi due to the defensive qi fails to consolidate the skin with invasion of pathogenic wind, cold or damp; or caused by retention of sticking dampness and phlegm in the bones and joints due to qi stagnation and blood stasis with long duration, dampness gathers into phlegm. The principle of acupuncture therapy is expelling pathogenic cold by warming the meridian, activating the blood circulation and dredging the meridians, eliminating phlegm and removing the stagnation.
