Hi, I injured my knee while playing rugby last November and I recently had my results from a MRI scan. The report I had is below;

'Intra substance degenerative change is seen throughout the lateral meniscus. I think the appearances are more than simple degenerative change in that the mid third of the lateral meniscus is blunted and slightly deformed. I think also slightly displaced laterally and I think the appearances are those of a slightly displaced lateral meniscus tear rather than simple degenerative change. The medial meniscus, cruciate and collateral ligaments appear intact.'

I am wondering if anybody can shed some light on what this means, surgery etc. I'm also bit paranoid that there could be signs of arthritis as I was half way through the application process for the Army and it will be no go if there is.

Thanks in advance.

Rich
