    Default Knee Pain

I am 58 and have arthritis but luckily never any knee problems. I am not overweight and exercise by walking the dogs for over an hour daily as well as 2 hrs aerobics, 1 hr yoga, 1 hr tai chi and 1 hr salsa dancing weekly. These classes are offered by the local authorities for the older person. I recently started learning sevillanas. About 2 weeks ago I started to notice knee pain as did another lady from some of my classes and we first thought yoga. However last week it was worse after sevillanas and we suspect it could be because of the repeated stamping. Could this be the cause, and if so would it be better to have the knees bent when stamping?

Front area of Knee: Discomfort over the top of the joint is most generally related to the joint cap. Kneecap pain can be a result of several different problems.

Inside of Knee: Discomfort on the within, or within area, of the joint is generally a result of within meniscus holes, MCL accidents, and osteoarthritis.

Outside of Knee: Discomfort on the outside of the joint, or area part, is generally a result of area meniscus holes, LCL accidents, IT band tendonitis, and osteoarthritis.

Back of Knee: Discomfort in the again of the joint can be due to the collection of fluid, called a Baker's Cyst
