Default I AM IN PAIN!!! :-(

So sorry to vent on all you nice people in pain. :-( I woke up at 3:00
a.m. in such pain because of my arthritis and finally took one Tylenol for
Arthritis at 4:00. I have been in sooo much pain ever since, hardly slept
at all, my gut is killing me, yada yada. I just read the instructions and
because of my failing memory, took one this morning when I could've taken
two! So, I just took another one. We shall see what happens. This med
usually does either nothing for me or relieves pain for about an hour, maybe
two at the most. :-( I cannot wait to find out what kind of arthritis I
have AND will somebody please give me a pain med that works!!! :-( Going
to lay down. Be back later. So sorry!

    Gentle hugs,

    Diane

    Diane,

For many of us, Aleve or Advil or Motrin work better on the pain then
    Tylenol.

Aleve and Advil/Motrin are actual non steroidal anti inflammatories, so
    often work better then Tylenol.

Don't know if you've ever tried any of those, but you might want to
check in to them if they won't interfere with anthing else you have goin
    on.

I always try Aleve first, before going to the narcotic pain meds.

I use the Aleve because it, at least for me, lasts longer then the Advil
or Motrin, but every one is different.

Also, do you ever use heat and/or ice. They can also be helpful too.

I cannot use any of those. :-( I tried Aleve for just a little while and
it made my stomach hurt soooo bad I just threw it away. :-( Aspirin and
ibuprophen hurt my stomach too, unfortunately.

Yes, I know, but I can't use them. Wish I could, Donna.

I have IBS with constipation and also acid reflux. That's why I can't use
    those.

Some times heat or ice or just the cool air can help, but not for very long.
I usually try to find cool spots in or out of the bed during the night. I
think I told you about that already. :-) I'm like Moe in the sense that I
can hardly find a comfortable place in bed to go to sleep. I move around
and around and finally just pick a spot and, hopefully, go to sleep. Then,
an hour or so later, it's back to the same old thing because I'm constantly
moving around in the bed. Thank you so much for your suggestions, Donna!
You know I always appreciate them. I will try some heat on my hip in a few
mins. I'm going to lay down on the bed now. Take care!

    Gentle hugs,

    Diane

11:10pm Diane do you take your meds with food or milk? Milk if you
aren't dairy intolerant. I do not take pain meds because what i'm told
by my DRs that can be taken by me, they do not help so I take nothing. I
take meds for different inflammations from the different arthritis'. The
DRs have to be cautious about what I am put on, and i have to be a
question asker.. i take all meds with a meal.. that is Morning and
    Night.. Moe

Thanks again Moe! I have lactose intolerance, but I do take my meds, etc.,
always with food and a big glass of water. Nothing helps me either, except
usually Percocet will help, but I can't get it from anyone, YET. I am soooo
sorry that nothing helps you, Moe. :-((( I really feel soooo bad for you.
I can't take any aspirin or ibuprophen and Tylenol does NOTHING for me
    either. Stay well!

    Gentle hugs,

    Diane

Oh, so sorry again, Moe, that your day was not a good one. :-( But, you
DID manage to do a few things. That's good news, right? :-) Whatever you
can do, do it. I'm the same way. I felt much better in the evening, Moe,
and much better AFTER I got out of bed this morning. I had a terrible time
some time in the early a.m. and just could not tolerate the pain any longer.
I tried and tried to find my cool spots to relieve some of the pain. I
tried moving into different positions. I almost found a good spot and
started to doze off again, but the same old thing happened and I just said
forget it and got up at 7:00 a.m. Right now, I don't feel too bad. I
managed to take a shower, undress and dress without too much trouble, and
actually CLEANED most of the oven by hand because there was a huge spill in
the back of the oven that I HAD to get cleaned. I did as much as I possibly
could and then Don did the rest for me. :-) I am a happy camper now. This
is so embarrassing to say, but I have to tell you this also. I did not take
any Dicetel at all yesterday and none this morning either. I actually had a
relatively non-painful and almost normal bowel movement! Yayyyyy! And, I
did not have the sensation to *go* again like I have been going through for
months and months. <bg> Take care sweetie and thank you again! I hope by
today you're having a really nice, pain-free day, Moe.

    Gentle hugs,

    Diane
