    Default Hereditary Erosive Osteoarthritis?

Any one ever heard of this or have this?

I've never heard of it before, but have a friend who says this is what
    she has been diagnosed with!

For this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. ( I Thessalonians

    2) ANGELS EXIST, but some times, since they don't all have wings, we
    call them FRIENDS......

    3) Just because you're in pain, doesn't mean you have to be one!

No problem, I just googled the phrase and found the following link on
    the Internet.

    http://osteoarthritis.about.com/od/o...hritissymptoms
    /a/erosive_OA.htm

If they don't have access to the Internet, the basic definition is:

Initially, symptoms of erosive osteoarthritis may be confused with
rheumatoid arthritis or psoriatic arthritis. Erosive osteoarthritis is
primarily characterized by erosions of cartilage in the hands.
Middle-aged or post-menopausal women are most commonly affected. Studies
have shown evidence of erosions in other joints too but the severe,
aggressive type of hand disease associated with erosive osteoarthritis
    defines the disease.

From reading the whole thing, I got the impression that the adjective
"erosive" implies limitation to the hands. Like you said, "all Arthro
and his siblings are erosive" to some extent.

I think my friend who was diagnosed with this form of arthritis, from
what I could understand of what she shared with me, is that this type
hits at a much earlier age then the usual OA and it is much more
aggressive and thus much more destructive at a much earlier age.

I believe that was covered later in the article. What interested me was
the fact that it is usually limited to the hands and, as you said, it is
    more aggressive and destructive.

For my friend, it seems to have hit her knees far worse than any other
joints, but she does have bad hands, too!
