    Default Good morning! :-)

I hope you all are having a nice, pain-free weekend. I feel much better
today than I did for the past two days. :-) It is very, very cold here.
And it will be very cold this afternoon too, but we need to go grocery
shopping. We don't have a car, so we walk. I have many, many layers on.
LOL Anyway, it is supposed to be really frigid this whole week, arctic air,
and then hopefully maybe warm up again a bit. We shall see. LOL My
stomach, bowels, arthritis, etc., were really hurting me for the past two
days and nights. :-( I cried and cried yesterday sitting on the can! So
sorry for being so graphic. I was really depressed about the whole thing.
I am going to ask my GP for a referral to another GI guy who treated my
husband and who is very nice and competent! I met him, btw, when my husband
went for his appt. last year. That is the GI guy I WANT for a second
opinion. LOL I also cannot WAIT for my tests and results on my thyroid and
the breathing tests I'm going to have very soon. :-) Keep warm, safe,
happy, and pain-free everyone! Will update you when I get all the test
results back and see my docs. Have a nice Sunday.

    Gentle hugs,

    Diane

4:55PM Afternoon Diane.. I hope the problems you were having are over
now or at least much better.. I know about cold weather so I hope you
and Hubby stay safe and warm in the walk to and from the store.. I went
to the store yesterday morning.. I shop at WallyWorld.. It is a Super
WallyWorld.. I do not care for shopping in any of the other stores.. I
come out with more for my money at ww.. Starting around Tuesday our
temps will be dropping more.. Our over night lows will be in the low
30's.. Todays high 71, low 45.. Tomorrow, Monday, high 72 and dropping
evening and overnight to low 40's..

I seldom have good days.. I usually make myself have pretty good days..
I've been walking my Treadmill once a day for the last 4 days for from
15 to 17 minutes.. Wish I could keep it up at least once a day.. I
always get some good walking in when I go grocery shopping.. For quite a
few years I walked the TM 30 mnutes a day.. I try but can't do it
anymore.. My body refuses to let me.. Oh well, a little is better than
    none..

Diane you have a Blessed evening, and stay warm..

Thank you so much Moe and I hope you had a blessed evening also. I feel bad
that you cannot go on the TM and do other things as you wish, but at least
you still are doing things, right? I know the feeling all too well, my
friend. :-( I am in very bad shape this morning. :-( I am very depressed
and was close to being suicidal, although I would NEVER do it. I just
wanted to tell you this so you would know just how badly I am feeling this
morning. I have to see my GP tomorrow morning just to get a referral to see
another GI specialist for my stomach. He won't even do the referral by FAX
or phone. I think that is terrible, but there is nothing I can do at the
moment. I have many tests coming up and cannot wait to see what the results
    are! I am so very sorry you seldom have good days. :-((( {{{{{Moe}}}}}
Lately, I haven't been having many good days either. We did manage to go
grocery shopping yesterday even though it was so cold outside. Brrr! I
would love to have your daytime temps, even your nighttime temps. :-) But,
I know that your nighttime temps feel very cold to you. I'm so sorry about
that, Moe. Yes, my body refuses to let me do some of the things I need and
want to do. You will be in my thoughts and prayers! Keep strong!

    Love,

    Diane

Having to go in and see your doctor face to face isn't necessarily a bad
    thing!

I have a friend who has a doctor who will do just about anything by
phone. While that is great some times, there are times it is better to
have a face to face with the doctor.

This friend has been sick lately and had been doing everything by phone
with her doctor. I had urged her to go in and be seen face to face and
    she didn't want to.

Well, a few days ago, she took a bad fall and had to go to the ER by
ambulance. In a way, that fall was the best thing that ever happened to
her! She had very bad pneumonia and the flu too. Had she not taken the
fall, she the doctors told her her pneumonia was so wide spread, she
    likely could have died!

I don't always like going in to the office, either, but some times I
have to trust the doctor when he wants to see me face to face. If that
is what it takes to get a referral, then by all means, go in! Might
just be that your doctor wants to make sure that he/she isn't missing
something before he/she refers you on.

Oh Donna, your poor friend! It's a good thing they found out when they did
just how sick she is. This is very serious! I agree that some times you
have to go in to see your doc. Here, you generally do have to go in for
pretty much any reason. You're right when you say he just wants to be sure
about things before he refers you to someone else. I just got a little
annoyed because he, and all my docs, are so far away that it costs us a lot
back and forth. But...we have found another solution! Senior Center will
pick us up with enough notice, like a week or two, and then come back for us
after a few hours. I'm not 100% positive if it's a fee of $7.50 per RIDE or
that amount per person one way. I *think* it is. We will find out for sure
this Wed. But, there still are times we can't give them adequate notice and
have to take a taxi which ends up costing us over $40 round trip! And I
have many appts. and tests. :-( I thank God for Don finding out about the
    Senior Center. :-)

    Gentle hugs,

    Diane
