    Default Good Afternoon

    Good afternoon everyone!

Oh lord, I see the spammers are popping up in full force! lol

It's another cold day here, but not near as bad as the beginning of the
week. Man, it is brutal waking up to temps being in the below 0
category and wind chills even worse!

Sun is at least shining here today. That always seems to lift the
    spirits a bit.

Has been a busy week and a some what rough week, health wise, but we
just keep putting one foot in front of the other and plugging along.

For me, personally, I refuse to let these darn diseases win and take
    over!

Hope everyone is having a decent day and that you have many blessings
and things to be thankful for as you travel through your day!

    Hi Donna,

I'm sorry that you weren't doing very well during the week. :-( I know how
you feel, unfortunately. I have the flu even though we both got the flu
shot last Oct. :-( I feel like crap today! Sorry. Remember the breathing
tests I was supposed to have on 1/25, tomorrow? Well, Met. Hospital called
me today before noon and they have a 3:00 spot open for me TODAY! I am
soooo happy about that. I wanted to get these tests over and done with
ASAP. Even though I don't feel well, I still want to go today. I will let
you know the results when I know something. Slept awful last night and had
asthma attacks that I could not do anything about. :-( Oh, just want to
remind you that I will be having a Barium swallow and an ultrasound done on
my thyroid and neck on 1/30. Cannot wait to see those results!!! I hope
the rest of your day goes well. We are in a deep freeze also. Terribly low
temps and lots of wind. Brrrrr! Keep warm!

    Gentle hugs,

    Diane

LOL.......I think this sub zero temps and deep freeze we are in is
courtesy of Canada! Thanks a lot! ROFL

Hope the testing goes well today and that maybe there will be some
helpful information that comes out of it all.

One thing I try to hang on to, is the fact that no matter how rough my
day/night might be, I see so so many that are a whole lot worse then me.

Some times I sit up at the medical center and people watch a bit and see
things that make me think to myself, Whew, sure glad I don't have to go
through what that person is going through!

I also always seem to find some blessing in even the most difficult and
    darkest situations.

So, we do what we gotta do, and we do it the best we can and maybe even
along the way, we can help some one with what we have been through!

Good luck, feel better, and keep us posted as to how you make out with
    all the testing!

Good for you, Moe! :-) I feel the same way. About 99.9% (give or take) of
the time I won't let them stop me. I actually do feel better when I can
walk outside for awhile. Loosens up the sore muscles, etc. Keep on keepin'
    on!

    Gentle hugs,

    Diane

    I sooooo agree.

We can't let these disease process stop us.

I really believe that if we can push ourselves to keep doing some of the
things we enjoy, it helps us from slipping in to the deep dark hole of
    depression.

I just am not the type to sit around at home and do nothing because I am
in pain or don't feel well.

Yes, we all have those really really bad days where some times you just
have to slow down or even stop for a bit, but if I can find a way around
    something, I will.

Diane - some times just going outside, like you said, can boost our
spirits. Something about that fresh air.

Good for the both of you for keeping on in the midst of not feeling all
    that great.

Thank you Donna. :-( Good for you too! Yes, there is something about that
fresh air and walking that helps me too. I have to be careful, though,
because the very cold air brings on my asthma, but I usually try to cover my
mouth and/or nose if the cold air or cold wind is too much for me. I still
carry on. LOL Will be going out this afternoon, as a matter of fact. Have
    a good day Donna.

    Gentle hugs,

    Diane
